"From June to October, humpback whales pass through Sunshine Coast waters as they migrate their way north. There are a number of experienced operators who offer whale watching adventures, or you can even swim with the whales - an incredible experience that is 100 per cent on the whales? own terms - with Sunreef Mooloolaba."
"The Sunshine Coast has a range of resorts and lodging options, including budget motels, vacation rentals, and luxury resorts with direct beach access. There are plenty of places to stay, but for peace, solitude, and isolation in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, try the award-winning Narrows Escape Rainforest Retreat. Book a trip to the Sofitel Noosa Pacific Resort on Hastings Street for lavish luxury. It has a central pool, a cabana club, and all the resort-style amenities you'd expect from a five-star hotel."
There is a string of little villages at the very north of the Sunshine Coast that are well worth visiting. Two of my favourites are Pomona and Kin Kin. Both of them are much quieter than Montville or Maleny ? but not in a bad way. They are just a bit further from the coastal tourism hubs so a lot of people don?t make the effort to visit (or perhaps don?t even know they exist). What you?ll find when you visit is one of the strongest collections of heritage on the Sunshine Coast.
"No discussion of the Sunshine Coast can exist without mentioning the beaches, and more specifically, Noosa. Long the poster-child of the region, Noosa's string of idyllic white beaches and sparkling aquamarine waters remain its main selling point. But don't underestimate the lure of its laidback vibe, local seafood and classy beachfront dining. Add in some cool bars, microbreweries and boutique shopfronts, and it's clear this resort town has got everything you need. And with a pretty backdrop of pristine rainforest, you won't want to miss out on those magnificent vistas, best viewed from walking its coastal-hinterland trails."
"The Sunshine Coast embraces its creative communities and there are a host of artisan and farmers markets to browse. Eumundi Markets, held every Wednesday and Saturday heads the list of must-visit market destinations on the Sunshine Coast. Other great markets include Noosa Farmers Market and Peregian Beach Market. The Sunshine Coast wine region encompasses vineyards situated primarily in the cooler climate Sunshine Coast Hinterland. The best Sunshine Coast wineries with spectacular views over lush vines include Flame Hill Vineyard, Settlers Rise Wines, Mason Wines Montville, Ocean View Estate and Dingo Creek Vineyard. These boutique vineyards may offer cellar door tastings and tours at selected times, so check local guides for details."

"In keeping with Queensland's reputation as the theme park capital of Australia, the Sunshine Coast doesn't disappoint. At Aussie World, kids will be treated to thrills and spills on action-packed rides that'll launch them up, spin em around, then plunge them into water. And have them running back for more. There's a heap of rides for the little ones, too, along with all the favourite carnival attractions, dodgem cars and food stalls. Parents will be kept happy at the quirky onsite pub, the Banana Bender, with bar and family-friendly pub grub."

"The Sunshine Coast offers activities for everyone, including horseback riding, mountain biking, and golf courses created by Greg Norman. Ride a horse through the Sunshine Coast Hinterland or along Rainbow Beach's colored sands to gain a different perspective on the area. You can also go mountain biking at Sugarbag Road Mountain Biking Trails, cast a line at some nearby fishing holes, or tee off at one of the many golf courses in the area. There are other choices available, including bird watching excursions in the Noosa Everglades, sailing, scuba diving, and free diving for those who enjoy the sea."
